We checked out Connemara today. That place was awsome. The only thing it lacked was restroom facilities and running water. There was at least 100 acres to roam. There were trees, open fields, and a creek for the water dogs. The previous directions to the park were perfect. Almost every dog known to man was at the park. We didn't see any boxers until we were leaving. All at once, we saw 7 or 8 boxers. I wanted to stay, but my kids were hungry and my Mom was cooking me dinner for my birthday.(fajitas!) I saw well over 100 dogs and it wasn't the least bit crowded.
I was worried about how Rowdy would do off leash with other dogs, but I was pleasantly surprised. He played with the other dogs for an hour. He only had 1 altercation with a doberman. The dobie started and it only lasted about 10 seconds before I could get between them.(Am I nuts or what?) Anyway, nobody was hurt and the dogs and my boys slept in the truck all the way home.
I haven't seen the park at Whiterock Lake, but my vote is definitely for Connemara in Plano.appicon
