Anyone located in the Dallas area?

Obviously I'm coming into this very late in the discussion stream here, but am I seeing correctly that there will be some kind of get together in September?

I'll be getting Lexi sometime between the 7th and the 15th and would love to come and let her socialize with all the other boxer babies.

Any information would be appreciated. Hope you don't think I'm sticking my nose in...

Thanks for the info. Do you always meet at the same park every month or do you move around to different places?

Also what time do you all get together? My boss has 2 boxers of her own and wants to join in the fun as well.

7 p.m. at Connemara Dog Park in Plano/Allen TX. All boxers and their families are invited. Bring plenty of water for you and your dog. There are no bathroom facilities. Lots of stores and resturaunts about 5 minutes away. If you need directions, ask and we will be glad to provide them. We have been meeting there because of the size of the park. It allows us to gather and not be overrun by other breeds. If someone(ignorant) doesen't want to be around boxers, there are about 100 acres to get lost on. Hope to see you guys there!

I am sooooooo bummed out! I fell yesterday and tore some ligaments in my ankle so I am confined to crutches and a moon boot for the next few days!

I'll be out of town the last weekend in September and hosting a Halloween Party the last Saturday in October! Grrrrrrrr!!! If you all get together some other Saturday, please let me know!!

I am such a dummy!! A little tip, don't try to dial your cell phone while going down steps....

OH no.. I hope it heals quickly!
I just moved into a 2 story home about 2 months ago- I've already tripped/fallen on the stairs about 10 times, haven't seriously hurt myself yet, knock on wood!

Here are some other helpful driving directions ...


north on Central Expressway 75 to McDermott Exit in Allen. Go west under the bridge were you'll go through 4 lights, the Park is at the 5th light ..... 1) Central Expressway (McDonalds) .. 2) No name ( Target on left - Tom Thumb, Starbucks, Chick-fil-a farther down on right) .. 3) Waters Road (Home depot on left - Lowes farther down on right) .. 4) Waters Crossing (blinking light - Apartments on right) .. Then the next light is 5) Alma (across the street on the right is Kroger & a Sonic, Wal-Greens on right (at light) - On the left is a small shopping strip). Turn left on Alma, the road will go from 2 lanes to 1, it's an open space/road ... there is a subdivision on your right, Tatum Street (thin bumpy dirt road) is on your left and it's 'hidden' with some trees. You'll have to park on it, and walk to the park, it is NOT a long walk, at the end of the road is the park! NOTE: If the street (Alma) turns back into 2 lanes, and you get to the second subdivision then you have gone to far!

Turn around right there and tatum will be on your right!
