Hey there - we're in Boston, how far out are you? I would love to arrange for a playdate sometime, but we are nowhere near ready yet! We adopted our 4-yr old boxer a week ago (also from SCBR!), and starting with the trainer next weekend. She needs some manners around strangers (human and canine!), as right now she is just too rough.
I am hopeful she will act more ladylike in a month's time, and might be ready to play with other boxers by late Spring, early summer...!

Hi, Nissa Joy Mom, I know all about your baby. Our Lilly is from SCBR and we do volunteer work with them. We's klove to meet when you are ready. Lilly does great with other dogs so far, is very nervous around new men and a bit more confident around women. She turned 1 at the end of january. I am so happy for Nissa and your family, from your posts it sounds like things are going well so far. We've had her since Dec. 05. Have you gotten on the SCBR yahoo group list yet??
Casey girl, I live in Springfield, work in South Hadley, and know the western Mass area pretty well. As I've stated we are working hard with Lilly, Diesel is a love, loves everyone and every dog he meets. He is 7 months old and just a sweety.

Hi Lisa,
Maybe my babe's a bit too young and you're looking for a dog a little older. Casey is 13 weeks old. She's been around many dogs adult and pups. It's great that you're working with rescued dogs, I plan on doing the same thing when the time is right for me. It's hard to believe that there are so many boxer rescue groups, they are such sweethearts. I have 2 Jack Russells, and no offense to them but it's no wonder they wind up in shelters and rescues. They are smart and sweet but oh boy....what a handful! In fact I don't think I even realized how nuts they were until Casey joined our family. People just don't have a clue how much work goes into having a puppy or a dog.

13 weeks old, I am jealous, it goes so quickly. I think we could plan a meeting when you are ready, maybe not an off the leash play session, but a nice walk to let them get toknow each other. it won't be long before your little one is all boxer energy.
