Anyone in or near MD want to play?

Is there anyone that is in or near Columbia Maryland that would like to meet and have our babies play? Sasha will be 11 months old tomorrow (and is getting fixed tomorrow) and we are looking to have her play with a boxer friend or two, or three.... The dogs in our neighborhood are smaller than Sasha and she boxes them to death, they love it, but I would love for her to play with another boxer and get the enjoyment of being boxed. I am a very protective mother, not sure if that is a good thing, and am always worried about Sasha hurting a small dog. She is full of so much energy. My BF is constantly telling me to relax and let her play and that the dogs will be fine, but I still worry. Anyway, if there is any members near us and know of a good park, please let me know and maybe one day soon we could meet. Thanks take care

HEy there! I live in Severna Park and have been looking for folks in the area! There is a really cool place near by called Kinder Farm park. Regardless, Winston LOVES to play. We live in Howard County too and have an 8 month old boxer girl that would love to play. Have you ever been to the Howard County Dog Park? We were thinking of taking Chloe there so she could run around and play with other dogs.

HI, we live in Columbia and have not taken Sasha to the dog park. She was just spayed 1 week ago, so we would have to wait 2 more weeks. Is the park fenced in? We do have issues with her coming to us when called.... However we would love to meet and play with Chloe.... Please keep in touch and maybe we can set something up....

howard county dog park

Hi sashaberry-

We took Chloe there last Sunday for the first time and she loved it. It was a little hot and humid and she got a little over-exited, but she was having a great time. The park is fenced in and they even have an area for small dogs. Chloe is not the best at coming when called either, but after about half an hour she was so tired we could catch her... It cost $4 for a day pass or you can buy a yearly pass for $30 (we were told the year starts in June or July and to wait until then to buy the pass)

Hope your baby heals well and let us know when you might be ready to venture out to the park!

That is great that you guys had a great time. Sasha is doing well, appears that she may be all healed. However we are leaving for vacation soon, so it looks like it won't be until June or so before we get there. Do they have water available there for the dogs or did you bring your own. So we are not alone with the whole coming when called bit huh? That is a little reassuring. Hope to meet you at the park soon. Thanks

Play in Annapolis,Md. De?

I am in Dover, Delaware, buut am often in Annapolis, Md. My mom lives there and I go to a dog park there at Quiet Waters Park. They have two fenced areas. One for big dogs and one for small. There are shaded areas, water and benches. It has been great each time, it just can get crowded on the weekends.

I have a 11 mos old boy, Moby, who loves to play there. I would love to meet some Boxer people.

We live in Southern Maryland, but are in the Annapolis area a lot of weekends. We'd love to get together at either Kinder Park or Quiet Waters to let our 6 month old run with some other boxers!
