anyone have a singer in their family??

Niko has decided he likes to sing with the radio in the mornings while i am in the shower and getting ready........

here's the story.

niko hates the ringer on my phone, so when i turn up the volume he howls to it. well this morning the alarm went off on radio so i leave it on in the mornings as im getting ready. well i get in the shower and all the sudden i hear this noise, i look out the bathroom door and there is my baby sitting in the middle of the bed just as happy as can be singin with the songs on the radio. when he realized i was watchin him he decided to come sit in the bathroom and serenade me till i was done and ready for work....


ill tell you that was a sight to see at 545 in the morning.......

i laughed so hard.

OMG I am LMAO! That is so funny... You tell our furbaby to talk and she woos you like crazy especially when you tell her she can't do something its like she is singing you a broken heart song..

Boomer is definitely a singer! He first started it with a harmonica which my son was trying to learn to play. He would even change his pitch with the harmonica after a while. He's always sang with the radio-especially if the singer has a high, soft voice. My MIL tried to say it's b/c it hurts his ears, but we took him to our Christmas parade a couple of weeks ago, and when the firetrucks came by with their sirens blaring, he didn't even make a sound-and I know that would hurt his ears, it did mine! So, we had to inform her we just have a Superstar on our hands!

That is So cute!!!! Mine aren't singers, but my dad had a boxer that would howl to his harmonica and boyfriend had a mixed breed that would howl to bob marley. Dogs are great!!!!!

i have had many dogs and know what you mean, i know these sounds arent hurting him. cause there are a range from high to low and no matter what was on he was howling. i think he just likes to see me laugh at him cause when i do he beans like crazy and goes nuts like when hes happy. sorry if anyone was thinking i was hurting my baby boy.

Duets!

Oh yes, I have a singer in my household. My older son, Nick, plays trumpet in the symphony, so he practices for over an hour every day. It makes Purdy want to sing in the worst way! Of course howling is a SLIGHT disruption to a serious practice so Nick tells her "no" even as he's trying not to laugh. So...I have Purdy trying very hard not to howl, little "woos" slipping out as she buries her face in her bed, and Nick trying very hard not to laugh... I love it!

Also, I read the article cited above and it isn't really saying these noises hurt dogs' ears, just that a dog whistle could hurt their ears just like any other noise if it's too close.

Not really a singer...

Kosmo doesn't really sing too often but sometimes he will woo woo at people singing.
On xmas eve morning I was watching Live with Regis & Kelly and they had a choir of kids singing xmas carols at different points in the show. Everytime the kids started to sing Kosmo would run up to the tv and howl & woo woo. It was hysterical.
