I was just wondering if anyone has a picky boxer (when it comes to food)? All the boxers I have ever had have all seemed to be like a vacuum and will eat anything and everything in sight -- and quickly at that. Emma, on the other hand, seems to be very picky and will take FOREVER to eat. Sometimes it takes her literally 5 minutes to eat a milkbone or a treat. This is strange to me because all my other ones will basically inhale the food/treat before it even seems like they have the chance to taste it. I was just curious if Emma is wierd (which would make her fit in the family well:)), or if anyone else has the same problem.

Nope I have vaccums. They love to eat. But at the same time are not driven by it. They don't whine to eat or for treats. Which is great due to our last dog being very food aggressive.

Buddy will eat just about anything I put in his face, or even remotely near it. He does like to throw his bone in the air a couple of times to tease before he eats it. They are soft chew bones so it's not like he's making a mess or anything. :)

Yup, my Roxy was a stray when we first got her, a good 10-15# underweight. She was so picky she'd actually toss her bowl and all the food across the kitchen floor. If that didn't get your attention she'd then kick the bowl around making as much noise as possible. We tried all kinds of different kibble, mixed in yogurt, nothing worked. And she was so skinny!

I don't think ABBY has picky bone in her body when it comes to food or treats. She will eat anything. And some of the things that I've caught her trying to eat were definitely not meant for dietary consumption.

We are always telling Elvis is a weird little man!

He wont eat dog treats, he will do a little 'scared dance' with them first tossing them about then leave them, but NEVER eat them! It has taken us 18months to get a dog food he will eat. People on walks sometimes offer him a treat and he will snub them, never ever take it.

Our last Boxer was a vacum everything went down well, but Elvis is a very picky eater.

Millie is the worlds worst when it comes to food, we have tried her on everything, but she refuses...so every day I cook her fresh chicken, I put some mixer with it, sometimes she'll eat that, but mostly she'll eat round it she also loves salmon, tuna, sardines, and pilchards..but the oils in the fish are great for her coat, and it really shines....her favorite treats are jam tarts.
Our vet laughs at me, and says I spoil her, and that I should give her dog food, and take it away if she doesnt eat it as she wont starve herself to death..but how can I do that to her it would kill me!
My husband loves to tell everyone how lovingly I prepare her food, careful to make sure it's not too hot or cold, and just to her liking, and how I even serve it on a little stool for her (I worry about bloat)..whereas he gets a microwave meal or beans on toast slung at him ..Well I can't help it, I love her so, how can I deny her when she looks at me with that little smushy face?...besides she is so much better looking than him
Poppy, our first boxer, on the other hand, was a dustbin who would eat anything.

Gnarly is extremely picky... wont eat dog treats either. Our vet always forgets and tries to give him a treat for being a good boy and he just sniffs it and turns his head. It has to be meat.... or have a lot of meat in it for Gnarly to eat it.

Boots has been really picky lately, as a matter of fact, sometimes he will sniff at his food and rather walk outside and play and eat grass or my flowers. And after all of that he will waddle back into the house with a happy and contented look on his face. Maybe he's an undercover vegetarian.

LOL! My Chancey is kind of picky in the sense she has to smell everything before she eats it-even if she just had one. If I throw treats to her they end up bouncing off her face THEN she sniffs and slowly eats it... frustrating since I always enjoyed popping treats to angel Kiddo the doggie midair vacuum.
