Anybody else have extremly vocal dogs?

I don't mean just when they want something, or when they are doing the woo woo song. But I mean consantly talking to you in some form or another.

The reason I ask is because we recently rescued a sheppard/chow mix 1 year old and this dog won't quit. It's not barking but constant humms, moans, groans, sighs and the like.
Our older boxer girl Buddy has always been a vocal dog, more so than I had been used to, but this new baby is just unbelievable.

Well my Zoe, loves to bark, growl and play LOUD. She's usally always just playing only when she acts protective are the barks serious and her hackles come up. I call her my grrrr girl. A friend of mine, thinks the female dogs are more vocal, is the chow mix a female? I'm not sure, but my Zoe is the loud one in the house....

Yes, she,s a female. She lookx totally like a sheppard except she's a little smaller with some red hair(long) and some black patches on her tongue.

My Rex is extremely vocal. He likes to bark at basically anything. Sometimes when he is tired of barking he takes his squeaky toy and exercises his lips to such extend that I can not even hear TV. I also have a cat that is very vocal, between these two, it’s always noisy at my house.

Mine are on the quiet side! Tiger never makes a sound unless he's getting irritated at Apollo or someone comes to the door. Apollo loves to bark at his toys when he gets going, or wants to irritate Tiger. Baloo on the other hand loved to bark and I loved to hear him. He's the only one that's done the woo-woo song. He always did that when I tried to get him to sit a few too many times and he would tell me what he thought of that. I love it when dogs talk to you.

Corgan is one to bark at a leaf falling 100 feet away~ Buttons is also a barker, but mostly he barks to get back in the house or if Loke has a chew toy and he wants it. It's so funny since he's only 4 pounds and after a 70 lb. boxer!:p

Our Bella, a 5 month old boxer, is VERY vocal. She does a high-pitched version of the woo-woo thing whenever she is happy. I have to explain to people that she does that when she is happy because she goes crazy around people. It is like the cry of the banchee. She does something similar when she wants something or has to do something she doesn't want to. She will also sigh and groan then too. When she gets really worked up she will bark, but we try not to react to that. She knows the speak command, but will not learn the 'no speak' command. Overall, it is really cute. She is nothing but sweet. In fact, she is trying to get on my lap now in a tiny computer chair at 40 lbs.

Oscar is also extremely vocal (understatement). He woo-woo's for England. Sometimes I wish he could speak as he will just sit at my feet sometimes and bark. I will ask him if he wants to go to the toilet, does he want to go walkies, does he want a cuddle, does he want to play, etc etc etc and I think he just thinks we are chatting :D

Monty just doesn't bark all the time he talks too.

I've been brought up with boxers who talk since 1960 but Monty is the first one who constantly talks to us. You can look at him and speak and I guarantee he will speak back. He mimics the sounds you make. If you say OH, OH, OH or eeh,eeh,eeh to him, he replies with the same sounds. If I have to go out and leave him he becomes very vocal and lets me know in uncertain terms how unhappy he is.
My daughter Harriet talks to him all the time, I wish I could record the two of them as he mimics every sound she says to him.

He's just an absolute goof but a very vocal one.
