All your info give good start...the only thing about ointments and powders is that since i am living in Greece many products come at a different name or do not come at all...Anyway, i am going to try and find the Greek equivalent.
What is Flaxeed oil????

At least Omega 3 oils are available and i have already started giving him - thank god he thinks it is a treat and just waits for it to get straight into his mouth...

Does prendisone have the side effects of cortisone i.e. excess need to urinate??? - he lives in an appartment...-

ok now i ve got to work... make some money... buy medicine....

Prednisone and Cortisone are one in the same, and they do have the same side affects. Also, they are not good to give your dog for too long since they can cause health problems along with lowering their immune system. Good Luck

Unfortunately, the prednisone DOES make them urinate more frequently. And it seems to me that he drinks a lot more when he's on them, which doesnt help! The one good thing about Harley's allergies.......is that they are seasonal and I dont have to worry about keeping him on the prednisone all year long. Prolonged use can cause other health related issues down the road.

GOLD BOND, huh? That is a good thing to know. I used that when I had poison oak!!!!!!!!! I will keep it in mind!!!!!!

Dear all,

Goodmorning...From this weekend on we are trying Atarax which is anti-histamine, combined with omega 3 oils and trying to find a way to get our hands on Gold Bond. Thank you so much for your help and i hope everything gets better soon... Unfortunately, Friday our third leg got red too...but we are on to fix it...

ooo i gave him this morning his pills stuffed in some bread and the little devil ate the bread and spilled the pills...i have to get more resourceful...

A fingerful of peanut butter or soft cheese with the pills mushed into it usually works - and keeps those tails wagging! :D
