My time is good except for the 25th of April.

Where do you guys want to have it. I vote for the new dog park on grand. Sorry Dan, I know it's a drive for you.

okc boxer bash

Well it sounds like its about that time again! Has anyone been to the new park on a sunny Saturday? Is it just nuts? We drove by a few weeks ago and it was jam packed with people and pets. We just wanted to know if anyone has been there when its that busy to see what its like? ? ? Maybe we could go check it out this weekend and "test the waters". It is nice and convenient but with so many dogs I wonder how it works? Either way we look forward to another Boxer Bash, the last one was so much fun.

We go just about every weekend and sometimes during the week. I volunteer taking out trash, picking up poop or whatever needs done. So I am pretty familiar with it.
Saturdays can be a mad house. I have seen all the parking spots taken up and people parking on the grass. Well until they put up signs. I have seen up to 50 dogs running around. But if we get there by Noon or so it's not so bad.

Its located on Grand between May and Portland. It's right by the Hefner Expressway. Unfortunatley Grand doesn't have an off-ramp, so I get off Hefner Expressway onto NW Expressway and make a right on Portland, then make a right on Grand. You just need to make sure you get in the right left turning lane at the light when you get on NW Expressway because Portland is the next light.

Recently joined this forum and Dan was nice enough to hook me up with this thread. We live in SW OKC near Earlywine Park. I run there and my wife and Tyson ( 1 year old Brindle Boy) walk at least 4 times a week. There's always lots of others with Boxers out there, any of you? This bash sounds interesting, we'd love to be part of it. We've also thought about the dog park at Lake Hefner but after reading some of your posts it's sounds like it's always crowded. Thanks Dan for the info. Hope to hear from some more OKIES!

Is there a bash anytime soon?

Hi everyone i was reading this thread and there was talk about a bash at the Hefner Park, but that was back in march and april. Did you already have it, or are we going to have one this summer. I am home from school for the summer and would really like to have one before i go back in august if it hasn't happened yet. I know it is hot here so that might not be a good idea.

Heya everybody - My name's Will & I'm pretty new around here (as you can tell from the post count!). I just got Ajax about a month ago - he's a 5 1/2 month old brindle male w/ natural ears; I love 'im to death.

Anyhoo, we're both in the Tulsa are for the summer, but will be back in Stillwater come August - that should make it a lot easier to travel down to the City for any Boxer get-togethers.
