i have a one year old boxer named Gunner, I have tried various puppy food and the problem is only when he is active, on a walk at the dog park or running in the field. he has multiple bowl movements until there is nothing left to come out but he still tries to go, most time he gets an erection while he tries to have a bowl movement. Could this be a nutrition thing or could this be more serious?? thanks for your time!!

Well at a year old he should have been off of puppy food at 4-6 months (if ever having been on it), so I'd recommend taking him off of the puppy food and putting him on an adult food and seeing if that fixes the issue. Puppy food is higher in protein and could be causing the issue.
