Any idea's on breeds that don't need a lot of walking?

A friend of mine has a pug and he is exhausted after a five minute walk so that maybe the way to go.

How about a little older mixed breed? There's an endless supply of dogs that need homes and sometimes they even have senior citizen discounts for adopting a dog. Plus, with a shelter dog you already know a lot about it's activitiy level whereas when you get a puppy you really have no idea. I walk a cocker spaniel who was purchased by an 83 year old woman and it's just not a good match because the dog is so energetic (the dog is 2 now and still runs circles around this woman). I was going to say the same thing.....Older dogs need homes and are harder to get adopted out than a younger dog. Plus they are such great companions.

I have two chihuahuas besides my boxer and they get along great with her. Also, besides going out to go pee and poop they really do not require walking. They are willing to go on walks in the woods if I take my boxer, but they can get plenty of exercise just running around in the house together. Plus they are only 6 and 4 1/2 lbs. so they are the perfect size for an older person to be able to pick up and handle and everything, and very small poops I am very biased
