Thanks to both of you for your help. I will go ahead and switch her while we are just getting in to the dry food. I am wondering which one to start her on as there are sooo many choices. Does it matter? I looked for a puppy formula at my feed store and didn't see one (every other kind but didn't notice a puppy formula). Do they make one? Seems like a read it didn't have to be a puppy formula but I can't remember where I read that.
We do have a tractor supply in our area but I have learned with my horse and calf (and other animals) that they are more expensive than the feed store (with the same products most of the time - here anyway). I would like to get all my feed from the same place (in a perfect world) just doesn't always work out that way. I'm glad I noticed my feed store carried it. They actually seem to have a full line of it and they will order something different normally if I need it. Thanks for telling me about tractor supply as I do use them when I need to and didn't think about looking there. They were one of the only places with her puppy milk when Berk was young.
She is doing great and today is her first day without the diarhea paste. I have been pulling back on her dosages to see how she was doing on her own. I would MUCH rather use pumpkin than to have her on the medication. So I will be going to get her some today to keep in the house. Do I just give her a teaspoon of it when she gets and upset stomach or mix it with her food. Again, sorry for so many questions but you all have helped me so much.
***So here is my plan and questions (please let me know if I should do something different).***
Does the TOW need to be puppy formula
I am going to keep her on the fortiflora for a while (once daily) it just seems to be helping.
I am going to switch her food to the TOW.
No more meds - if we have an tummy upset I will try the pumpkin (just need to know amount to be given)
I am going to start incorporating meat into her diet (boiled). I'm just not sure how to do this once I get her on the dry food. Don't want to feed to much or too little. *She gets chicken right now and once I have got her all the way off the rice I will still be giving a little chicken with the dry since her tummy is used to it and we haven't had a problem with it to start but I have turkey and beef to give also.*
I feed her 4 times a day about a cup and a half at each feeding - ex. this morning she got a 1/4 cup of rice, 1/4 cup of chicken (boiled) and a 1/2 a cup of dry food (she eats every 4 hours) cutoff being 8:00 at night.
My question with this is if the dry food at her age (4 mos.) and weight (20.6 lbs) suggests giving her 3 1/4 -4 1/3 cup of dry food how much meat can I give her? (I am going off the bag I bought Monday). I want to get to where she eats her dry food alone and the meat at seperate meals. Any ideas?
The only other problem we have is her hair feels a little course and her skin is a little dry which the vet said we weren't going to worry about right now until she is totally back on track with foods - he said it may correct itself (that her body has just been through a lot) and to not worry about it right now but if you have any suggetions as to something I might try that wouldn't upset the tummy I would love to hear it. I wanted to put some baby oil on her but thought I better not - 1. not knowing if this was good and 2. she is a LICKER and I am scared it would upset her tummy (although tummy is good right now).
As long as we stay well and things go right I will take her to have her last set of shots (rabies and booster) in a week and a half. She is late on her last set due to being sick and I am afraid of what lurks out there until then

Her being sick just made me a nervous momma and she wants to go out so badly! I feel terrible about it so we do the best we can entertaining her inside and take her for rides in the car. When she does get to go out she isn't going to know how to act and I can't wait until she sees what she can do out there

She will be one happy puppy! Thanks again and sorry so long.
