Another weird thing Legend does....

Ok, Legend just started doing another little quirky thing...

Right after he eats his dinner (only dinner) he jumps up on the couch and rubs his face into the cushions. He'll go back and forth a few times with his face buried, then he'll lay down and give that heavy boxer sigh. :p

What's up with that? Anyone else's boxers do that?

I think you need to give Legend a napkin!

Billy sometimes wipes his mouth on the hall carpet after eating. He goes the length of the hallway with one cheek to the floor, and then comes back on the other side.

I suppose they're just wiping their mouths!

I can just picture that! How funny! I suppose I'll have to wipe his mouth when he's done eating from now on.

Debbie, Chase does this all the time. It is like a ritual....Not at any certian time or anything. He will just rub his face against the couch on the pilllows he likes to burry his head and face under covers and flip the cushions over. Jazz has NEVER done anything like this....I think it is cute.....

After my two finish eating, I try to wipe their face with a warm paper towel or a baby wipe. Beauty especially - she's a messy eater and she gets food stuck on her nose...!

I always wipe Brody's mouth/jowels after each meal with a boxer-wipe (a.k.a. kleenex). Brody has such deep wrinkles under his jowels that food gets caught there, and if it doesn't get cleaned out, it turns into a stinky mess and turns into sores.

He knows the routine. When he's done eating, he'll sit and wait for Mama to clean him up! LOL

My greyhounds did this, my whippet does it, my APBT does it and I'm betting in 6 weeks when we bring our new boxer pup home he'll do it too. I wish I could train them to use a napkin,LOL, it would save on cleaning food crust off the sofa and pillows. No matter what, they never fail to bring a smile to your face with their antics.

My Scooby does the same thing! I think he does it just to hear me laugh. He's also teaching our new puppy (Daphne) how to drag the bathroom rugs up and down the hall. I think boxers are little kids reincarnated.

Booker T does this after every meal. He is a clean eater, thank goodness. I think it is completely adorable! I have no idea why they do it, but it really is cute, isn't it?

Yep, Susie does this and is teaching Maggie her bad habit. :mad:

Also, in the mornings when we wake up, both dogs do the same thing; sort of an eye wipe thing on the pillow on the other side of the bed (not my pillow, thank goodness). I've always assumed this is face cleaning.
