I was wondering at what age your males lifted their legs to pee? Every milestone in Dempsey growing is exciting to me (I know I gotta get a life). :D So I'm just wondering what age it happened for different people.

And maybe if someone can make me feel less crazy by telling me they are looking forward to it too!

one of ssleighter's males doesn't at all. I think it depends on the pups. Sam still hasn't and probably won't - especially since we had him neutered at 10 wks.

I thought older dogs that squatted were just being too lazy :D Like they lifted at one point, but eh- it's easier to squat! LOL Guess I was wrong bout that one.

Lt. Did it about 8 - 9 mons

Lt. Started about 8 - 9 months and I was very excited about that!!!! He's 1 year and 2 months now. He still squats sometimes but if there is a tree or bush or any upright structure near you better belive he'll V-Line straight to it to pee it up.

I like the squat, they get it all out at once. So much easier with time. I hope Butch always squats, but my DH thinks I'm nuts.

Henry started at about 9 months to lift his leg at lamposts/ bushes/trees. He is 14months now and can still only lift the left leg, not the right.
In our own yard he always streeeetches like a horse.
My husband couldn't wait till he lifted and actually in the forest would walk up to trees and show Henry the motion of lifting his leg saying to Henry "lets do a cock a legee" (HE WOULD BE HORRIFIED IF HE KNEW I'D POSTED THAT ON HERE.). It didn't bother me if he always squatted. I Guess it's a man thing LOL

Hi my Oscar is 2.5 yrs old and he still squats when he is at home- with a silly look on his face i might add heheh!!! - when hes in public he lifts his leg, but hi lifts it so high he looses balance its hilarious!! and he still has a silly look on his face...heheh!!!!!
