Hello. we are new to this site and to being a boxer owner. We brought Roxy home two weeks ago and boy is she sweet. We have a small dog as well. Our vehicles were broken into and we wanted a better warning device. My brother has two boxers and recommended one to us. Hopefully she will bark when needed. We live in the country with three acres to rome around on and she will stay in at night. We are eventually going to install an underground fence.

Welcome to BW- be sure to thoroughly read the rules before you post (like Samson's mom said, we dont want to see you get kicked out over something silly like rules you might have skipped over). There is a ton of info. here on boxers and living with boxers. They are really really great family dogs, and living in IN near you (somewhat) the temperatures here are too severe both hot and cold for a boxer outdoors all day. If you do some reading on this site there is a lot of info. on these topics that really help. Welcome to BW!

Hello and Welcome to BW. This site is an amazing resource filled with so many wonderful and knowledgable people. Got me throught puppyhood twice LOL!!

Another alternative is fence a small part of your very large property (we are on long island with a tiny lot of land and jealous) and install a doggie door for your baby. We gated our yard and gate both babies in the kitchen with the doggie door. Works great for us.
