Boxer Pal
Hello everybody. I live in San Antonio, TX and I've owned boxers for years now.
I have two now, a boy named Harley, and a girl named Casey. I adopted Harley from a Boxer Rescue facility here in San Antonio when he was just 12 weeks old and I adopted Casey from a Military family who was moving overseas. She was about six months when I got her. They are both excellent companions and beautiful dogs. Although Harley is a bit of a handful weighing in at 83 pounds. I think he's about the biggest boxer I've seen personally. Well, I look forward to talking to some people who share my love for Boxers and hopefully getting some advice.

Glad you joined, we want to hear all those Boxer stories! Harley & Casey were lucky you got them.I wish more people would consider rescues, because they really appreciate a good home. Boxer Pal, Hanley

It's a shame that it can be such a tedious and time consuming process- to adopt from a rescue. I tried for about two months, before finally just buying mine from breeders in the newspaper. I understand that the rescues need to verify that a potential adopter is capable of taking care of a boxer, and can afford to take care of them, and is atleast basically tuned in to what owning a boxer is like, however, some rescues require pre- and post adoption home visits. This is hard for someone who works, third shift, such as myself. The only local rescue in my state, N Ky Boxer Rescue, didn't even have a website. I would have to drive 150 miles or so to "Danville" Ky. It seems to me that some rescues need to simplify this process. It's just a shame that I couldn't have rescued two boxers, instead of having to purchase them. Just my two cents worth.
