Another New Member

Hi everyone!
Just wanted to let you all know how Chewy is doing. We spoke with our vet last Sunday regarding our options for treatment. Prior to our meeting, I was convinced I would not opt to do the chemo. BUT... my husband really wanted to give this one last try to give Chewy a little more time here with us. The chemo seemed to slow him down a little for a few days, but nothing real painful or concerning. Chewy just got his second treatment today. We have one more shot next week and then Chewy will be done. We are hoping to have him maybe four more months. This is all so much harder because he has been such a terrific dog
I have started to contact some breeders in my area about getting another boxer puppy. Life continues forward. We will always have the memories and the lessons that Chewy has taught us. For that I am thankful. Everyone, please hug your dog today and let him/her know how much you appreciate having them in your life.

Welcome to BW, Michelle (my name is Michelle also). I just found and started reading your thread today. I wanted to tell you that I am so sorry about Chewy. He seems like a wonderful Boxer. I hope that through chemo, he will be able to be with your family longer. I will pray for Chewy and your family. Please keep us posted.

I am so sorry to hear about Chewy! I think it is so nice that he has a great family that is willing to go the extra mile for him! I hope & pray that these next few months will be the best for you & him. He is so lucky to have such a wonderful family. Always remember the good times you have had over they years with him! You & Chewy are in our thoughts and prayers!
