American Bulldog..itchy, itchy skin!

Hey Guys, we moved to AZ about 6 months ago from MA. Ever since we have been here my AB, Buu has been itching and itching and itching! He also eats at his paws and basically he looks AWFUL. His skin is red and irritated all the time. I've bathed him in Oatmeal baths, this other shampoo which is supposed to soothe itchy skin. I've taken all the grains out of his diet. I am at my wits end! He itches, then he is irritated, then he itches because his skin is irritated. Any suggestions????

When I went to AZ to visit my brother, I had a hard time breathing, because I'm not used to the dry heat. This is just a thought, no real basis, but could it just be too dry for his skin? Maybe a humidifier to add some moisture in the house might help. Good luck-I hope you get it figured out, it's terrible to watch your baby so miserable (my little man has allergies and scratches himself raw).

That sounds like allergies - environmental ones being the most likely. Very likely it's plants and the dry air contributing to make him miserable, but you could look at household cleaners etc as well. Anything that's different here, basically.
