What a trying ordeal. I'm glad to hear that Schotze is on the mend. She'll probably recover quicker than you.

Indy and Ava send their Boxer vibes Shotze's way to help speed up her recovery.

I agree with you. I think what made me the most mad was the fact that I felt like it was my place to ASK for a scrape when he should have done it without my mentioning it! Isnt this THEIR job? When you go see a doc, they ask if there are any problems he should know about BEFORE he examines you. A vet should do the SAME friggin thing! THESE ARE OUR BABIES! I want her treated as such. I wish there was some way to file malpractice against him. I wouldnt want money, just public recognition of his mistake! Its very annoying. The fact that he didnt do a scrape until the EV visit is rediculous.
Im so glad your baby is ok. She is beautiful!! I cant imagine losing mine so I know exactly how you feel about it. Im a VERY passive person, but hurt one of my family members and Im a tiger ready to pounce.

I am so glad to hear Shotze is doing so much better. I saw the pictures and it just broke my heart to see her that way. And I agree, it was not your job to ask the "so called" vet for the scrape. It should be automatic on his part, does he even know what he is doing? I guess it is time for a new vet.

I'm glad she is jumping and playing, poor thing what a tramatic time this has been. I'm glad both of you are feeling more at ease. I'm sure it is harder on you than it is on her. I know I get worked up more than my furbabies probably do. After the spaying I wanted to baby my girl and keep her safe and all she wanted to do was run and play, she looked at me like I was nuts foolicon .

Grrrrr.... I should have suggested a scrape. No, he should have KNOWN to do one and I shouldnt have HAD to request one. Im not the vet...HE is.
I understand your anger. You are right; he is the vet, and he should've done the scrape at the beginning. At the very least he could've mentioned the option of performing the scrape to confirm his diagnosis. Thankfully he was able to implicitly admit his mistake by not charging you for the EV visit.

I'm really glad to hear that Shotze is on the road to recovery. Do keep us updated with the pics of her recovery. I think that these pictures will be an encouragment to others who's pups are recovering from demodex... Shotze will grow back her beautiful coat! :)
