Super Boo

Completely Boxer Crazy
We've been feeding Skye and Boo Natural Balance Ultra for two or so years with great results. I switched them to the Duck & Potato blend for variety (gradually) and Skye immediately began to vomit and had bad diarrhea so I switched them back--successfully--no problems. I also give them a couple of tablespoons of the canned--usually liver or beef. I decided to try the canned chicken and guess what?? Skye started vomiting and having diarrhea again. So I put him back on the dry only--no problems.

Is it weird that he would have such a violent reaction to poultry in general?? Does anyone else's dog has similar problems?? I'm sure it's related to the food because when he gets the NB Ultra--it clears up.

I just went thru something similar with Tango. After 7 years he is allergic to beef! He breaks out in hives and has terrible diarrea after eating even one tiny piece of anything with beef in it. Its amazing how quickly they can become allergic to something. I have to read the ingredients on everything he eats now and make certain it contains no beef products at all. Good luck with your babies! :)

Our boxer-mix Sandy is allergic to poultry. It was hard to find out what made her breakout so bad. It is also hard to find kibble without poultry ingredients. We feed Kibbles-n-bits and have had great luck. All the dogs love it. We moderate their feeding to watch her for signs. But the ingredients show no poultry.

kibbles-n-bits is not the best food to feed your dog. if you read through some of the forums here under "feeding" you'll soon see that the ingredients they use are very poor. many of the higher-end brands carry kibble that offers various forms of protein sources such as lamb, beef, chicken, and fish. the selection is vast. you might consider switching them to something more healthy and nutritious. solid gold makes a few different kibbles featuring protein from fish and beef or only fish alone. they also have some with venison.
