allergic to everything!

my poor brindle baby!!! he is 3 yrs old, ears always red, feet chewed to shreds, some small bald patches. i give him allergy injections for his outdoor allergies, which are many (including grass!) He is allergic to corn, barley and oatmeal as well as turkey, pork and duck. He is constantly scratching. Right now I am feeding him nutro lamb and rice but he still has these symptoms even though there is nothing in the ingredient list that he is allergic to. Can anyone suggest anything that might be better? Meanwhile my 11 yr old fawn female (adopted at age 10) can (and will eat everything).

Have you had one of those tests done that you send off a blood sample I think and they can tell you everything that your dog is allergic too?

Have you tried Nature's Variety Venison and Pumkin Seed? Or try Essex Cottage Farms, if you don't mind cooking for him.

yes

we did have his blood tested and I couldn't believe everything he was allergic to including human dander! I have been giving him the associated shots but haven't seen alot of change or any actually. He runs away from me as I am always cleaning his ears or putting otomax in them. He doesn't have as much fur on his tummy (which is always pink) or neck as he should which is a shame as he is such a velvety dog.

You could also try Natural Balance Duck and Potato or I think Wellness also makes a hypo-allergic food.

Unfortunately duck was one of his highest allergen scores! I might try the venison and pumpkin though.

How about a raw diet? It has a lot of benefits to it, one being you know exactly what he is eating and what is causing the troubles

Natures Recipe has a vegeterian formula that has help bunches and bunches with Bubba's allergies...they also have vegeterian treats...just a thought!
