Aggression or Playing

Hello,

Lacey is 9 wks old, and i know she is still a puppy, but she snaps and bites at other animals and us. when playing with our friends 14 wk. old boxer she will snap at her and naw on her leg or ears. sometimes Lacey will growl and bark at her too. does this sound aggressive or does she just not know how to play yet, or is it playing? we're thinking since she was the runt of the pack she might not know how to play or thinks she has to be rough b/c thats what she had to do from early on. if it is aggressiveness will she grow out of it?

It sounds like playing to me, but I would redirect her to playing with a toy myself. When Lacey growls and barks she's probably saying Hey...stop that, which is why I would redirct to a toy instead . As far as nipping at people you should do some redirecting there as well! I hope this helps!
