to all our boxer friends - we often hear how the boxer has a limited life span, but i wanted to share good news with you that our Charlie is 11 years young, spry and full of energy. He has the intelligence of a person, speaks to us constantly and we spoil him rotten.

Keep the faith everyone - and remember to enjoy your little wiggley butt every day.

My boy will be 11 in May. He just had his annual check up, and the vet said as long as his heart stays strong on his meds he should live to be 15! (From his lips to God's ears! )

I'm so glad to hear that some of you have been blessed with senior boxers After losing my last 2 dogs before the age of 6, all I want in life is to have a dog live into it's golden years, !

That's nice to hear. I've already had this conversation with Cornelius. He turned 6 in October and I told him that he had to live until at least 12. We can re-negotiate then.

Last year, at 9 1/2 years, Thor had a medical crisis. He had to have surgery and was in ICU for 9 days. It cost almost $10k. I told he had to live another 5 yrs after that! Every vet (e-vet, regular vet, and his cardiologist) has said at this point there is no reason he shouldn't.

I love to hear of all the Boxers at 11yrs and older gives a little hope for the rest of us,I haven't met a Boxer over 8yrs,they all seem to die around or before this age.I can only hope for my next boy to live this long you are all so blessed
