I just had our 5 1/2 month old Daisy spayed today and she has trembling and shaking since we got her home around 4:30 Florida time. She has drank some water also had went pee outside. Should I be concerned that she is in pain or maybe a side effect of the anethestic?

My experinces with a spay, this is pretty normal. As anesthetic can tend to lower the internal body temperature. That combined with most likely being a little groggy still and nervous and upset, I am sure that all will be fine. By tomorrow you should notice a big difference

When my youngest dog was spayed, it was the first time that a dog of mine came home on the same day as the spay (I switched vets and the old one kept them overnight.) She was completely out of it that evening and looked like she felt horrible. I was worried about her, but by the next morning she was totally back to normal. If you are really worried you can always call the vet, but I bet she will be okay by the morning.

Thanks for the quick replies. I called the Vet and they said it's perfectly normal and that she should feel alot better in the morning, but if not to give them a call.

Yep, Abbie was acting about the same. She just layed on the couch and I covered her up and left her be. When I would have her go out to go potty, she would just stand there and give me those eyes and would halfheartedly squat, she was so full of fluid from the IV but just didn't have it in her to resume peeing position. I felt so bad, until...

3am she was burning around the house...so much for sleeping that night.
