Hello. I have an absolutely georgous female fawn boxer. She is only 7.5 months, but very smart and trained to behave very well. She is actually on the calm side big time for a boxer puppy. I have done alot of researh on the breed and absolutely love boxers. I make it a point to hang out with several other boxer owners I met at dog parks and such, and they all have persuaded me to look into possibly showing her at intermidate dog shows. Ive even been offered as much as $2000 for her. Ive been told by at least 30 different people that she is show quality. Heres my question. Im intersted in finding out how to get started. I only want to do this for fun. By no means do I want to make it a second career or anything. I would even like to just show locally in the Dallas area. Can anybody give me any advice? Has anybody ever done this before in the Dallas area? Where do I go? Who can I talk to? Ive done searches all over the internet and haven't found any good help. Thank you for your reponse.

Yes, go to dog shows and talk to her breeder

Thank you for the advice so far. I have contacted The Dallas Boxer Club. They meet the first Thurs. of every month. They should be a great help on attending my first show and then I will be able to find outs lots of info. Any more advice would be much appreciated but I feel Im on the right track.

Definitely a dog show will be your best place. Just to be fair, unless someone is active in the show ring, they won't be able to honestly know if a dog is show quality or not. That's okay, since all Boxer owners think every Boxer is beautiful.
I had Booker T at a pet store one day several years ago. A person came up to me with a Boxer male that was a flashy marked fawn. Long nose, very light eyes, light mask and generally not the prettiest boy though a complete sweetheart. As we traded pets on either other's Boxers, the other owner said: "My boy looks exactly like your boy".
The reality is No. He looked nothing like Booker T. But in his owners eyes this boy was perfect. And that is as it should be :D
