My Molly is 5 months old and she is great at home with our older male Tyson who will be 2 years in August. She is also great and plays will with my parents 3 year old lab. She great with kids and adults.
We've tried taking her out to the dog park a few times (Tyson loves the dog park and generally gets along well with most dogs). Miss Molly doesn't seems to have as much fun as her brother. Both times we have gone she has become angry and lunges at the other dogs and growls and we need to put her on her lease because she will just keep trying to get them.
This happens when she is being pet by other people and other dogs get to close to her or too close to the people and when the dogs in general just get in her space for too long. She got really overwhelmed and just lunged at every dog that came close to her and we left because I felt it was too much for her.
So my question is....how can I approach this situation better and help Molly relax and not become so overwhelmed and reactive to the other dogs?
