Robyn, thank you for sharing your beautiful story. It is so wonderful that your children will be able to grow up with a canine companion. Our family dog, Rebel, was a very important part of our childhood. She will always be missed.

Completely Boxer Crazy
What a great story. And who could be sick of boxer pictures? I could look at em all day. Good thing we work from home, ha-ha, I'd be fired by now. :) Cooper's a cutie.

Boxer Buddy
What an absolutely beautiful story and pictures. I can well identify with your feelings. Today we made our adoption of Joseph final and it feels wonderful. The people at Second Chance Boxer Rescue were great. We had been fostering him for 3 weeks. They e-mailed us last night saying that their were inquiries about adopting him. When my huband heard that he said, "NO WAY THEY CAN HAVE HIM!" That was what I was waiting for to make the adoption complete. Now we have 2 boxers who love each other and who are spoiled rotten since our only son has his own family now. They are just like our 2 children. Enjoy Cooper to the fullest.

Robin - just want to let you know that I loved the story about Cooper. My husband and I just decided - today - to look into adopting a boxer. Our beloved Abi (brindle female) went to live with "uncle John" a few years back while we moved a few times and waited for our human pups to get old enough to be trusted with a new 4 legged sibling. But Abi now has cancer and we could never dream of taking her away from John, they have so little time left - besides, John is dating the VET!!! But, It's time!!! Hope we are lucky enough to find our own happy ending.
