Adding another puppy!

Hi Jen,

Congrats on adopting Hannah! I just ran across your post this evening. Regarding Hannah and her possiveness with toys, I can't address your questions b/c I only have one Boxer/dog. Have you tried a search for "possessive" or a similar term? I have read past posts and suggestions for handling this type of situation.

Possessive behavior

Hello! Thanks for your response. I went to the behaviors forum and did a search for possessive/dominance and found a lot of great responses. It also seems as though a lot of people have "play fighting" between their dogs and are not concerned, which made me feel better. We always separate them if it seems to get a bit too rough.
It has been a bit of an adjustment adding our second puppy, but so far things are working out well. They've seemed to work out any dominance issues and suprisingly, our new female is the dominant girl! It is probably a good thing that our boxer boy is such a push-over!
