do anyone know if adding a touch of salmon to dry food help , hopefully do not hurt i've been doing it for tanner. he seem to be eating ok but with every thing going on with the food i just worry and want to do the right thing.

A little canned salmon certainly wouldn't hurt. Canned sardines would be an even better choice.

My guys love sardines, all I have to say is SARDINES and they come running. I usually add sardines to their kibble on Sundays.

Mine also goes nuts for sardines. Although, they know them as 'fishies'. They start beaning as soon as I say the word and Riley 'tap dances' until they're put down for him to eat. I also give mine tuna from time to time, but not very often. They seem to prefer sardines anyway.

Do you give them just the sardines and discard the oil they are in or do they consume both?? Wasn't sure if the oil would cause diarrhea or a tummache.

I normally get the sardines that in water and I drain the can before giving it to them. Neither one of my boys has had any issues with eating fish.

I buy pilchards in water for Rogue & she enjoys the lot. I would say that it's her favourite meal. :p
