Completely Boxer Crazy
Marley's mom and dad are good Boxer parents. I'm sure they'll make the right decision. They've done a really good job with Marley. He was pretty "full of himself" when they adopted him. In fact, he had been adopted out once and returned (grrrrrr). We require obedience training for all of the younger dogs. The first family that adopted him didn't take him to class and yet they complained about various issues that would have been fixed easily with training! They said that a Boxer breeder told them that it was impossible to train a Boxer once the dog is over one year of age (oh, okay! Who knew?) Then Marley's new mom and dad came along and they did follow through on the training commitment and have done a very, very good job with Marley. In fact, we are thinking of placing all of the dogs with them. We're bringing them all over tonight. Just kidding! :)

Awww, Claudia you are so sweet! That message was so nice of you. (and so funny......!) you stinker. ;)

yeah, Marley did need a bit of work when we first got him. And once we started obedience classes I think everyone else in the class thought we were crazy. He was definitely the "bad kid" in class. But by the end I think he was by far the most improved dog. (and I'm not just saying that cuz I'm his proud mommy) People in class were impressed by his turnaround.

So IF little Leisel works out (we're meeting her on Sunday!) then I know that with some work and patience we can have 2 fabulous boxers!

Well someone forgot to tell Dallas that! He's the oldest dog in his class at almost 5 years old and he's learning faster than any of the other dogs in there.

Shotze's Mom

Super Boxer
I , too, have thought about adding another boxer baby. Actually the first week I wanted another one. I decided to wait until Shotze was 6 months before adding another bundle of joy. Our newest (soon-to-be) pup is two weeks right now. I get update pics weekly and his parents are absolutely GORGEOUS! FINE specimens of the breed. Short muzzle, strong shoulders, deeps chests and narrow rear ends. VERY nice looking parents. The Mom has an adorable underbite that I hope the pup has also. He is flashy brindle. (hubbys choice) My reasons are for companionship for Shotze. She is spoiled rotten.

I believe its a personal choice. Many swear by one inside dog in the family, others swear by two or more. Since she is a year, the puppy worries should be over. I have faith youll make the right decision for your family!! Good luck and congrats.
