Acne??

Has any one out there had any problems with acne (zits) on their boxer's face. I have two boys, Ali and Frasier. Both at times have had zits on the underside of their chins, but Frasier has them more frequently. Of course Frasier is the Oscar of this odd couple, he eats sloppily, slurps sloppy and drools the most. Ali is the neat one, he won't eat anything without inspecting it first, rarely drools and is very neat with his food. They are so funny, but I'm getting off the subject. At first I thought it might be from their water bowl, so I changed to stainless steel bowls, but they still get them from tme to time. Any suggestions?

Yes, acne is fairly common in boxers, especially adolescents. Stainless steel bowls do help a lot (and they do need to be washed frequently), as does washing/drying their faces after eating. You can wash the affected areas with a weak hydrogen peroxide solution, if needed.
