I do check BW almost every month but seem to only post when we need healing vibe. Our boy, who I might add is the perfect sweetie (lovicon) has to have surgery on his torn ACL. Although I have heard great things about the surgeons, I am still so nervous. He will have to stay overnight and we have been told 8 weeks in a crate/leash environment. I searched BW for ACL recovery and saw nothing good. Super worried so please all positive vibe are welcomed! He was rescued from absolute horrible conditions. He deserves good things.

We've been through 2 ACL surgeries with our girl so I know how you feel! I hope the surgery goes well. Sending <<<<<healing vibes>>>>> to your boy!

The 8 weeks of crate rest afterward were not fun. We had two at that time and if we left our boy out when she was in her crate, he would stay beside her crate and whine, wanting her out to play. If we put him in his crate too, then he would whine because he was in his crate while we were home. As she started feeling better, she was the one unhappy in her crate. But it is manageable, and needed for healing.

The 8 week healing is exactly what we are concerned about. Now we have a much bigger concern. The Doctor thinks Champ may have heart issues and is sending us to the Vet School here in NC. Needless to say, we are extremely concerned. I am trying to stay optimistic but everything I have read here on BW and on the internet, I feel pretty sure the Doctor is right.
