Accepts treats from daddy but not mommy????

Our new rescue girl (diesel) will take treats from me (daddy) but not from my wife. Even if my wife sticks it in her mouth...she just spits it out !??!?!

It's not secret that I'm her human, but I want my wife to be able to partake in the joy of treating and training.

We are going to be enrolling in a training class. (she has had some kind of basic training in her past. Probably home training.)
My wife and I will BOTh be involved in the class with her.

ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

(ps...she's 1 1/2 years old / no past abuse that we know of (but you never know) She's a sweet heart - not aggressive at all. If you need anymore info let me know)

Actually it got me laughing! I can just picture her spitting it out. I don't know but maybe you stop giving her treats and let just your wife give her treats and feed her. I guess your wife has to earn her confidence, maybe something happened to her, something a woman did? Have you tried getting another female to give her a treat and see what she does?

A lot of times when my wife is trying to pet her and talk to her, when Im in the immediate vacinity, she just stairs at me waiting for my que....She's a great dog that way. I mean it doesnt seem to matter if there's anyone else around, she is allways aware of what I AM DOING. If I walk away, she follows; If i snap my finger she comes to me.
It seems like she's not interested in my wifes lovin' sometimes.
BUT, even when she is totally lickin' my wife and lovin' on her, she still wont take the treat.
It is pretty funny acutally.....

Well, here is my story...

I have male and female puppies and my Bonnie is the same way. But, the funny thing is, I am the one home with them all of the time and I am the one that is training them. For some reason, Bonnie just doen't want treats from me. She loves me and is very affectionate, but she just doesn't want it from me. She takes it from my husband when he takes her our (maybe twice a day), but the 40,000 times I take her out everyday, she wont' take treats.

I beg to differ with Bella & Bax's mom, Skyler is completely opposite of daddys girl. Of course, I would have an oddball dog LOL. She is my shadow 24/7, which I LOVE! Im never lonely, not even in the bathroom. :rolleyes:
If I shut the door and she cant get in, she lays in front of the door with her nose sticking under the crack of the door. Never a dull moment with her around.

However, she will take treats from either of us.. so not really sure whats going on with diesel unless she was just raised by a man, and had no contact with females? LOL
