About to start Heartworm Treatment - any advice

Cinder is about to start heartworm treatment, at least with-in the next couple of weeks. We got her from the rescue and they told us she had heartworm but I didn't realize it would cost $700 for treatment. Oh well, after 3 weeks, we already know she is worth it.
Anyway, any advice on treatment before we start.

very very important that you keep her inactive as I am sure you have been told during treatment. I live in Texas and heartworm is extremely prevalent. I wish the best luck and wil pray for Cinder. how heart wrenching to hear of her condition.

Wow,the last time I paid for hw treatment is was $400.
The treatment is very hard on the dog. You do need to make sure the dog is kept quiet for a few weeks. The dying hw and larvae can break loose and cause an artery blockage and death.
