Boxer Pal
about a month ago we found a puppy who was abandoned skinny and had a broken leg.we named her abby and weve found out she is a boxer mix. her leg is doing great but now shes not gaining weight and the vet is stumped he doesnt know why shes not gaining weight. she is lively as ever and doesnt act sick.he said to change her food and i have but still has only gained 5 pounds in 4 weeks. she is 14 weeks old and is only 22 pounds and i can see her ribs. if anyone has a suggestion we would be so thankful.
thank you

Completely Boxer Crazy
As long as Abby is still active and does not act sick, I would not worry about her weight too much. When Jesse was a pup she gained really slow (only about a pound a week). Boxers are very "ribby" puppies.

Super Boxer
Some boxers tend to be on the thin side because of their high metabolism. As long as you rule out any illness or parasites, it's nothing to worry about. However, if you want to fatten her up, you can feed her Satin Balls (not for too long). You can do a search for the recipe here at Boxerworld. My Kianna has always been thin. So thin that you can see her ribs and hip bones. Since I've been barfing her, she's gained some and looks better. Good luck.

Boxer Insane
Like mobrian says, as long as he acts healthy and happy, I wouldn't worry about it. If you saw the amount of food Krose eats a day, you would be shocked at his weight!!
