chloe seems to have a small bladder. when she does pee in the house, she goes downstairs on the tile. but i have learned to time how long it takes her to have to use the restroom after she drinks, eats, etc. and sometimes, after bringing her in from walks she does pee, so now i let her outside to chill for a while and she is fine. maybe 1. she has a small bladder and 2. weak one (maybe when she is excited she just goes) so if i let her calm down, she is great... if we come home, we are definately happy to see them, but we make it a point that she is to use the restroom outside before we have play time..if i do this i have no accidents! hope this helps!!!

Thank you for the recommendations! I will look for those cleaners. You may have just saved me from several negative comments from DH!

Don't lose hope! Tyson was an absolute terror to potty train. He wasn't 100% reliable until he was about a year old. Had it not been for Crash (who only had a handful of accidents ever), I would have thought I was doing something wrong. At one point I also though maybe he had a UTI because he was going so frequently, but nope, he just really had to pee!

Bells?

We read in a boxer book to tie bells up by the door that you use to bring the dog out. Everytime you bring your dog outside to potty, ring the bell. Eventually they are suppose to put two and two together and ring the bell when they want to go outside.

We put the bells up today and have been tapping his paw on it everytime before we go outside.

I'll let you know if it works.

Ours has a few accidents here and there. Only one this morning. I'm hoping he catches on w/ the bells. He seems smart enough to figure it out but he can be stubborn so who knows.
