A Question about Seameal

I was reading the Solid Gold brochure today and it said that its foods are around 80% (can't remember the exact number) digestible. After that, it said that by adding Seameal, the food digestibility goes up to around 90%.

I know the brochure is out there to promote Solid Gold foods, but I'm wondering if this is true? If so, wouldn't this be almost similar to a RAW diet?

it actually said it increases the foods digestability? ummm, okay...I'm not going to contradict them, but the only way I can see that working out that way is if it contains probiotics...and if I remember correctly that product only contains kelp meal and ground flaxseed right?

I'll have to look around for the brochure, but I'm pretty sure it said it increases the digestibility.

It went on to share a couple of stories about dog owners using it, and some of the weird things their dogs passed in their stools.

Just found this from their website:
"Seameal contains 60 trace minerals, 12 vitamins, 22 amino acids, digestive enzymes, and flaxseed meal. It is excellent for dogs with allergy problems and/or skin and coat problems. When Seameal is added to food, it increases the digestibility of the food."

1lb is only around 20 bucks, maybe I'll order some and see if it works as well as advertised.

Not sure how digestive enzymes, etc are going to make kibbles similar to raw...? Raw is good in part because it is easily digestible, sure, but also because the vitamins and nutrients in the food haven't been destroyed by a cooking process. Kibble is produced via a very high temperature and high pressure cooking/extrusion process that does destroy nutrients... hard to see how digestive enzymes are going to reverse that.

I dont' think it's just the digestive enzymes, I'm sure the vitamins and amino acids help somehow. Although I don't know how seameal is produced i.e. similar to kibble.
