I love this. I lately have been shying away from the Rainbow Bridge, although I usually come here quite often since losing my girl Cadence. I can't believe it's almost been a year already. For some reason, I've been missing her terribly lately and everything makes me cry. But I loved reading this poem...I do believe they are with us.

Losing a Boxer

I know what you mean about staying away from posts on Rainbow Bridge. I try to stay away because I always just cry but I find myself drawn to it since I just lost my Boxer Heidi 2 weeks ago. This poem made me feel better and I just wanted to share it with anyone who is also feeling a loss. Thank you all for your kind thoughts.

I lost my Legacee almost a year ago and my heart is still so heavy at times when I think of her. That's a really sweet poem but it does bring tears to the eyes. Thanks for sharing. I'm sorry for the loss of your sweet baby.

Reading that and thinking of my beloved Nikko and the reason I feel in love with the bread in the first place brings tears to my eyes and I thank you for sharing on this website for people like us who go on and a little poem or something can bring back all the memories ( good memories ) and I thank you for sharing that..it brought tears to my eyes.. happy tears of my Nikko.

When I read that poem I also cry, but it helps me remember that my Heidi is still with me. We are all in this together and I really think understand what each other is feeling!

Thank you for sharing that, i've not seen it before. I haven't counted in awhile but I counted today and it's been 7 months since I lost my Ella. I hope she is here with me, I hope she's with me each night when I sleep.

Anyhow.. thanks for sharing this, it gave me good thoughts.
