A Nose question

Ok this is hard to describe but I"ll try my best to make you guys understand so hopefully you can help us out. On the top of Titan's nose is these little black things (part of his nose.) On his sister it's all smooth on top of her nose, and about half of Titan's is smooth. But the other half on top of his nose stands up and is hard. I try to touch it but he doesn't really like me too. I've put vaseline on it before and couldn't really tell a difference. I dont know what it is but it looks kinda gross, like his nose is coming apart or falling off. It's been like this for a while now and just wondered if anybody had ever seen it before or knew what I could do for it. He does do a lot of digging in dirt with his nose, but so does his sister and hers is fine. Any tips would be great!

Well, I wonder if it's some sort of fungus? Even a wart? It's not unknown for that sort of thing to happen. I'd suggest letting a vet take a look - just so you know, and can do something about it if needed.

If it's just a dry rough nose though, you could try bag balm (the stuff for cows' udders) on it. Seems to work very well for keeping dry noses smooth

I knoe exactly what you are talking about only because my Shelby and even Max's are doing the same thing.... I don't know what to do for it... just wanted to say I know what you mean!!! Hopefully someone else can help!!

Ms Cotton’s nose was the same way and I took her to the vet and he said it was just dry skin. I have been putting olive oil on it three or four times a week and it is as good as new Still it's best to get the vet to check it.

My brother says the same thing, only in a joking manner. I truly hope my brother wasnt' right all along, I'd hate to admit it to him!!

I put some more vaseline on his nose today. I will try the udder balm, I put that on his feet sometimes when they are unusually rough. Today a few pieces in the center of his nose were gone. I think it's just someting like drty skin because it's very rough to the touch, not near as soft as the rest of his nose. But very odd nonetheless. I"ll mention it to the vet when we go here in a few weeks. I dont think it bothers Titan any, but does distract from his handsome appearance some IMO. Thanks for the help all.
