Thank you for the warm welcome everyone!!! It took me at least 15 minutes to get here after I get awed looking at all the cute pics!
Kim, I live in the west of Vineland but commute to Atlantic City! I see the beach everyday, but unfortunately, I cannot bring Ace there.
I'm trying to figure out how post pics of Ace. So please bare with me. Does it normally takes long for each pic to post on the site. I guess every pic is moderated? I thought I posted one earlier but it came back with all different kind of explanations of why it didn't go through! I hope I did it correct this time. LOL
Ace has become my shadow. He's so loyal! He's usually always near me wherever I am in the house. At night, he knows when it's time to go to bed and he goes right into his bed in the living room. I have him trained not to sleep with us. As much as I love him, I can't stand sharing my bed with another furry creature! My husband is enough! LOL
I must say when we first got Ace I was concerned that his ears weren't docked (hope that's the right term). Then I noticed that more and more boxers are like that now, except for the dog shows, of course. BTW, I love watching those shows on t.v. I always look for the boxer! It's funny that they are categorized as working dogs. Ace doesn't do a darn thing but be cute!!

That is so funny. Working breed is not exactly the term I'd use for Loki either. Playing breed, TV watching breed, needy, love-me-all-the-time breed, Follow you all over the house or world breed, I know I'm cute breed, these would all be better names for the boxer!

You are going to learn so much here! Just when you think you have the strangest dog in the world or when you are ready to pull your hair out over your babies new crazy antics, you will find BW members who have been there and lived through that. I have to say that if you have been able to resist that gimme what I want, I'm so sad face, you are way ahead of me in the training forum! Loki sleeps in my bed or on my lap (ugh, 70 pounds!) Good for you, stay strong. Don't give into that smooshy sad face! I caved, and now I AM OWNED by the most loving, loyal, arrogant spoiled brat! :rolleyes:

Play Buddy
Kim, a play buddy sounds wonderful but I don't know how he would react to Loki. He can be aggressive at times. I know he's playful. He's only been around one dog and it happened to be one of our neighbor's. She doesn't visit Ace anymore when he's out on his run. I guess she got in trouble. But I would like some day for Loki and Ace to be introduced. I think that's a great idea!
Don't you love it when they do that "kidney bean" dance?!! I love it when I see his tail wag a mile a minute!!!
