I assume by your post that your cats aren't declawed? I think that the pup will learn very fast that it can hurt when messing with the kitties, My cats are declawed and they swipe at Cassius all the time, and when I watch really close, it looks as though Cassius will get his head out of the way just in time for that swap! I would say to watch VERY close, make sure that cats have a safe place to go when the pup gets rambunctious! Shelf, a room with a babygate, anything as long as they have a safe place to go. They generally get out of the way rather than risk a confrontation with something that is at least 2x their size (as a pup)
All cats are different as I am sure you know, just keep a close watch for the first week or so, see how the cats rteact to the dog!
That being said, you will want to put the cat food out of reach from the pup, and try to get the litterbox out of reach too, nothing like puppy discovering kitty crunchies and then comming to give you kisses! Dogs just love to get desert from the litterbox.
I have found babygates invaluable for keeping my dog away from cat stuff!! Buy one and use it!!!

Completely Boxer Crazy
We also introduced a boxer puppy with two crotchety cats in the house, actually one cat is very laid back, but the other is sweet but very nervous around anything new. Hammer gets swatted (both declawed) on occasion, but he generally runs before it gets to that stage. A puffed up hissing cat can be pretty scary to a puppy. My cats have learned that if they don't run, he won't chase, so this made for a quieter house. We also installed a cat door on "their" room, so they can get away anytime. That room is where we keep the litter box and cat food as well, so it's well out of Hammer's reach, and we can open the door when Hammer's crated during the day. It works very well for all of us.
We added a rescue boxer baby on Saturday, so now we're starting all over with the cats! Never a dull moment....

We will use the advice and will let the cats have a safe area for themselves. We too have cats' doors for them, into the balcony and into our daughters' place, where their food is kept. Unfortunately the cats are not declawed, so we are worried, but we try to keep an eye as much as we can.

I had a 18 year old cat when we got max, who also wasnt declawed and let me tell you she didnt care much for max, he got swated quited often. But you do have to be careful where they scratch because the cat got him good once in the eye, and it got infected luckily we brought him to the vet before the scratch got too infected. And he was ok, since then my cat has passed away and we have gotten another cat and it was the first thing we did was declaw her. And they have become great friends!
