Hello Everyone,

My name is Patrice. I live on Long Island. Jude is a fawn male, and he is 2. He is my heart!!!! Jude is my first dog since I am on my own. I plan to get him a companion (female brindle) once he completes his CD.

I love dog training. I have been reading, taking classes, going to dog shows, and presently training with Anne Paul in New Jersey!!

My boxer pup is extremely spoiled. This at times makes him be fresh! I am having trouble with being firm. I would appreciate any help!!

I hope to enter Jude in his first obedience trial this time next year, so he may fininsh his CD when he is 3 years old.

I am crazy for our breed. Like myself I know they make you laugh, are big mushes, loyal, clingy, and fresh!!!!

Looking forward to speaking to you~~~

Thanks

For some reason, being firm with my Kobe never seems to work either. I took him to puppy class and the instructor tried praise and treats, but with a firm command and a push down . Now Kobe runs away every time we try a training session.
The only way I can get him to come is to climb under whatever item of furniture he is hiding under and get him out, which he thinks is great fun. If I leave him under, he comes out eventually, but he emeges victorious either way.
As long as I am spoiling him, he pretty much does what I ask. I know that I am asking for trouble, but I feel bad that his trainer was too rough with him and I feel like I need to re-earn his trust.

I can't wait to here your stories, and maybe see a pic? Your boy sounds like a sweetie!

By the way, what's wrong with a little spoiling? Don't we all need that sometimes;)
