Hey, does anybody have insight on why boxers lick soooooooo much. Spike now 7 months is in to licking everything...dirty socks, runningshoes...the chairs...ect... it seems rather weird. Also is it true that their saliva is a healing balm???? Thanks :)

Hammer is also a lick monster!!! His new sister Ginger however, is not. So I really think that it depends on the dog. I have no idea about the qualities of their saliva, but I won't be testing that theory on any of my wounds.

Lord I wish Maddie would like socks and other stuff so she would leave our faces alone. If I don't get at least two baths a day I go into withdrawl.

Carson however isn't proving to be much of a licker thank goodness.

My hubby and I were just discussing this last night. We were joking that Lexi has an oral fixation. Lexi licks everything. Yesterday she was just standing there licking our couch, for no reason. Before that she was licking my jeans. She is always licking something! Dusty and Baxter also lick things but they are not near as obsessive as Lexi.
