a happy boxer rescue

we got our 3yr old ty from a couple who had a baby and din't want the dog around it. it our first time owning a boxer any suggestions would be nice. btw the peanut butter in a kong works great thanks would never have tought of that.

Hello, and thanks for rescuing a wonderful dog. This, you can be assured of. Whatever you give of yourselves in providing a good home for Ty, he'll return many times over.

Get some books about Boxers and read them thoroughly. They are the best, but they have some traits that can startle one with little or no experience with them.

You'll be amazed at how much life he will add to your home.

The best thing you can do is to crate train him if he hasn't been already. We've had several dogs, and Indy is the first that we have crate trained. Every dog we get from now on will be crate trained. In addition to providing him with a safe haven, in the event you have to board him, or he has to spend a night at the vet's, it won't be as stressful for him.
