I recently finished this book. It's by W. Bruce Cameron. I highly recommend it, but be prepared to shed a few tears!

I listened to the audiobook and I cried, and cried and cried! Will listen again once I recover and hear a happy doggy story!

Here's a few of other good ones:
One Good Dog (another happy to tears)
The Art of Racing in the Rain (excellent!)
The Lost Dogs (about the Vicktory Dogs, get informed!)
Oogy (a wonderful rags to riches)

And just finished a somber one, The Dogs of Babel (not for the faint-hearted)

I received this book for Christmas, did not read it yet. Oh no a tearjerker. I am currently reading Oogy and have read Art of Racing in the Rain (I loved).

This is a great book! The author did a tremendous job of explaining what\how a dog thinks. My favorite was the dog explaining the "lack" of a cats purpose.

I read this book right after we let our beloved Max go to rainbow bridge. Yes, lots of tears but in a healing way.

Also mentioned in this post "The Art of Racing in the rain".......fantastic read.
