You'd think 'cause I live in WV that I'd have some land..... unfortunately we were dweebs and went looking for a house just like you'd find in Northern VA, just cheaper - LOL - so we got it, just not that much land and while fenced - 20 boxers would pretty much just be sitting and occasionally one would be able to bounce a little bit - so long as the others are sitting still :p ....... but my next house.... I think a cook out / boxer party is a great idea. I do have some rescue friends with farms and while they don't have boxers may be intrigued with my proposal to have 20 or so boxers running rampant through the fields. I'll check and let you all know.

Laurel,

That would be great, I also am trying to think of some place with a big enough yard, I do have an idea, Quiet waters (yes in Annapolis) has a HUGE dog park but they are also a regular park AND A NICE ONE, we could always get a pavilion to eat at and then move over to the dog park? otherwise the other option is to use someones house :)
If that is a trip for someone (shannon and Aimee) my house is ALWAYS welcome especially to boxer owners :)

This last bash was TOOO great i can not get over all the fun we all had.
Big pat on my own back also :) :)

We do have a large sized back yard with 6ft fencing that we could hold a BBQ Boxer Bash at. We could probably fit 15 dogs easily with plenty of room to run and play. We have a grill and everyone could bring a dish and a lawn chair :)

Aimee you are tooooo AWESOME, Like i said earlier, Pat and i would Bring the BEER  okay and maybe some food, hehehe
I only have ONE problem, If it is not on Sunday i can not come :( pat is a car salesman and they are open on satuday but closed on Sunday. That is why Sunday was awesome for this last bash.

Keep me posted.

that sounds too cool. Tell me what to do and what to bring. Actually not to sound selfish or anything - Sunday works really well for me too. I do a lot of transporting for Upshur and Barbour County shelters and Saturday is the most popular day that eveyone can actually get it done so it's usually hard to coordinate anything for Saturdays for me 'cause I am suuuuchhh a sucker when someone calls me up and they can't get a dog to safety because they can't find someone to fill in a leg...........

You know what's funny - I live, eat and breath boxers - think they are the greatest thing in the world, so when I started out wanting to help in rescue after moving to WV and having my own house I contacted Dianne Spessard for Boxer rescue but she's in NoVa and was hard to coordinate that. So I started trying to get involved in Boxer rescue and trying to volunteer w/ a woman in Charleston but right in the middle of that my sister sent me a cross-post from a group in WV that were in desperate need (she never pays attention to where in WV). These counties are like 3 to 4 hour from me and they are small, rural and gas their animals still and have nothing in place to adopt or humane societies (animals get 5 days), and there are never any boxers in there (some CUTE boxer mixes) - but I'm hooked - I started out transporting - we go from shelters in WV all the way up to WI, Canada, NY, NH, CT - all over. I have currently 3 fosters (again no boxers) - 2 hounds and a doberman. But what the heck - most of the time I even have fun doing it.

Just thought I'd share.............:D Laurel
