Hi guys,
I'm fairly new to boxerworld but this sounds like fun. We live in Frederick, MD. Unfortunately, Roxanne has lymphoma and it doesn't look like she'll be with us in the spring. But we're keeping our heads up and know that our family cannot be boxer-less. So, if we have another boxer by then and she's over 4 months, we'd love to join you all. I'll keep following this thread and play things by ear. Good luck in the planning and if we don't see you, have fun. Hopefully we'll be able to join in future get togethers.

Hi Karen, I'm so sorry to hear that about Roxanne. I'm only 20 minutes away in Charles Town and Frederick is beautiful (I just recently started going over there to shop, etc.). Welcome Aboard!!!

I haven't been on line for a week or so because my computer at home is malfunctioning. :(
So I had to wait to return to work to catch up with you guys.....I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas / holiday. It's wonderful to see our MD VA DC Boxerbash roll call growing.....The more the merrier!

Blade has kept me very busy making sure all my extra attention is focused on him. He is so spoiled, and growing like a weed! It's wonderful having a pet that is as smart and affectionate as he is. My husbands says: You didn't let your other dogs get away with what you let Blade get away with...(example sitting on my lap, jumping up on the sofa...etc) I reply with ..."He is still a puppy!) (6 months looking like a large grown up dog!)

Well, to tell you the truth I am training him not to do those things but I admit he is very spoiled. He has learned to sit on his haunches and beg for treats. When he does that he gets just about anything he wants.....Too cute
Can't wait till my computer is fixed so I can share the pictures I took of him begging over the holidays.

Happy Holidays to all! I just want to put the word out again That there is a group of us planning a serious BOXER BASH in the MD. VA. DC area in 2002!

If you live in the Washington DC Maryland Virginia areas and would like to meet and greet others who love their boxers....Join in the fun and plan on joining the gang at centraly located dog park....(Place not decided on yet but we have posted reviews on the ones we are aware of...) sometime in March 2002.

My home computer is on the blink so I need those who have already voiced interest to keep the momentum going:p

I am in the process of meeting 2 new boxer people in my area this weekend (hopefully). I'm helping a great dane transport and the woman that coordinates dane rescue works with the woman I'm starting to coordinate boxer rescue with. Since the boxer woman is in Charleston, she uses the dane woman to do home checks, etc. in eastern panhandle and Jules has made friends with several of the people she did home checks for on the boxers, and she's going to put us all in touch. So, I'm inviting as many as I meet to come with me and get on board this website if they aren't already.
