A boxer's tongue?

Our Toby's tongue constantly sticks out. It comes out from his front teeth about 1/2 inch. It very rare that it stays in his mouth. It gives him this 'duh' kind of expression. We all think it hilarious. But, I'm wondering if maybe there is something wrong? Is this normal for a boxer's tongue to stick out between his teeth like that?

I've seen some boxer tongues that stick out further than the mouth, none of ours have been that way, but I do remember pictures of one that was really far out there. I dont know if it could cause any issues- that's something you need to take up with your vet, but I bet it makes for some extra cute pictures of your boxer!!

My boxer boy also has this! Its cute, and when he's really tired it it hangs out! ha ha ha it gives them more character.

Mine don't but I have seen lots of pics of other boxers where their tongues are more prominent, it does look cute, but you could ask our vet if it will cause any problems

Daisy's tongue always sticks out at least 1/2 an inch. Usually farther. The vet said it is okay as long as she can eat and chew her food properly. The tongue swells when they get hot, so it sticks out even further. It helps them cool down. I would get the vet to check it, but I'm sure it is nothing to worry about.

I just posted the same question on the boxer anatomy forum! Chief's does the same thing.... It pops out all the time about 1/2 inch. And when he yawns, it rolls out like a big ol' red carpet! It's sounding as though it's completely normal. I think it's so funny and cute! :p
