9 years since having a puppy.. Things forgotten

Last weekend while fixing breakfast, Eli was gated in the kitchen with me. I put a string around his favorite toy then around my wrist, so everytime I moved the toy would move and keep his interest. The girls just look at him like:rolleyes: kids. Some of his toys are kept on my desk so he always has a "new" toy. Grace just looks at him as if to say "WAKE up its not new!!!!"

Fun Times

One of the good things since I have smaller children is since Aurora will chew things left out my house is very clean and when kids leave toys around I say ok don't be mad if Aurora chews it up and instantly it is upstairs put away....
Sadly the things we miss do really get chewed up ...

My favorite is how the olders guys look at the puppies like man you really are goofy...

It's also been quite a while (9 years) since our last puppy.

Something so obvious.... but I forgot how fast a puppy actually grows. It's kinda weird when you look at your pup in the morning and can actually see that he's bigger than the day before!

It is indeed amazing. It has been a wonderful journey from an 8 week puppy, to demon puppy, to wild girl, to adult wannabee, and now very close to adult. All phases have been great, and an adult will bring continue to bring rewards. Yet the emergence is also bittersweet, ... it has been far too quick of a journey.

LOL, I imagine those currently struggling with bite inhibition, pulling, and jumping are thinking I am crazy and anxious to get past it.

No, larrygs...I quite agree. Mine is still small, but growing so fast. I don't look forward to the day I can't bring her up on my lap (though my other *actual* lap dogs do!) I love each moment, even the potty training and frustrating moments. Wouldn't trade it. They grow too fast, and are with us too short of a time.
