I would look into some indestrutable brainy toys.

My boy Tucker is about 10 months old. He's never been one to be too destructive, but when he is with me, he is fine. When he is left alone, he has to be crated. He gets plenty of exercise and goes to my sisters house for "doggy daycare" a few days a week when i go to school and work to play with her four kids and her three boxers. At our house I have two boxers (Annie and Tucker) and my uncle has three boxers. That doesnt make the destruction is less. When not being watched Tucker has ate my uncles couch, the kids' toys, my glasses, heaters, wires to phone chargers, electric heaters, phone lines, computer supply packs, and on and on and on. He also knows how to open doors. Screen doors, house doors, even the outside front and back doors! so needless to say he HAS to be crated when not watched. He started to get destructive on his kennel chewing the wires, bending the door and the sides, and can get out. I had to strap tie all around his kennel where it folds and i have to keep moutian climbing hooks (3) on his crate door to keep him in.

I bought him a kong, he loves it. I whip together some peanut butter and yogurt and stuff and freeze it. It keeps his brain occupied . I also bought toys like the tug a jug, and maze balls and bounce squeeze bone that you put small treats (i use totw dog food) in and he has to figure out how to get it out. It keeps him content and tiers his mind as well as body.

Thankfully Pacey got out of the chewing stage for the most part. She does have a few notches in her belt for:

2 end tables - chewed off all 4 corners
1 coffee table - chewed off all 4 corners
Various baseboards, window sills, etc.
1 entertainment center
Hats, bras, various clothing

Now I say she's out of the chewing phase, but really I think she just got tired of furniture. Just yesterday we forgot to put the baby gate up in front of the hallway that leads to the bedrooms and when we got home she had taken several items from our nightstands. She helped herself to:

Chewed open and ate nearly an entire jar of Vaseline (this was nice on the way out this morning)
Several jars of various lotions
A bottle of Advil (luckily it appeared she didn't like the taste of those)
A pair of gardening shears, we're not sure where she got those from. Ate off the rubber parts.

We were mad, but as some people have said, you just can't stay mad at a Boxer.

I've gotta say, we've also been really lucky. Kinnon tried (very briefly) chewing a computer cable, our front door mat on the first day we had it, bits of my car when she was a baby and left alone for too long - very bored = very bad!!

I'm glad to have never had to pick up vaseline poop. Ugh. I shudder just thinking of it!

Wow, I guess I should be added to the lucky list - the only thing Bodie has ruined since he was a little puppy is a couple of my shoes and his rabies certificate that was left on the counter. It was the day after he got his shots, so I think that was his way of getting revenge.

Brodie just turned 14 weeks today, and I already know never to leave him unattended - lol! Just like a skin kid, if it's quiet, there's trouble around the corner! Brodie hasn't ruined anything yet (other than destroying one cheap squeaky toy sent with him from the breeder), but has an affinity for computer cables and the bedskirt of our bed. DH caught him last night running across the room with his small I-Pod and charger in his mouth that he'd pulled out of the socket. Luckily, he'd just gotten it and hadn't damaged it - lesson learned: don't plug it in at Brodie height!

When we can't watch him (including when in the shower, eating dinner, etc.), he's crated. Bedrooms are kept closed off to avoid his "exploration" tendencies. He's getting older now, so I'm sure that all of his favorite cloth sqeaky toys won't last much longer - lol!

Since he's so young, we have a dog walker come and let him out at lunch time to go potty and stretch his legs. It's expensive, but worth it right now at Brodie's age.

I dont think Sly is that bored. He has Chevy (our Golden) to play with. We take him for walks almost daily, bring him to dog parks, and just recently started to bring him to a doggie day care near our house that is great and he loves it. Our lil' guy does neet attention almost all the time so maybe that why he eats stuff. He is the most stubborn dog that I have ever had or seen. He literally will grab something right in front of me, I say "uh uh", he'll stop, then come right back in about 2 minutes. We could literally do this all day.

But WE LOVE our lil' man. We will start taking him out more once he gets over his recent stomach issues.

Boxers can seem stubborn, but they are pretty smart. The reason I say this - Bentley will act up if he doesnt have a "job." Once I give him a command, he feels included. They are eager to please. Maybe he grabs things in frontof you to get a "leave it" command?

Our boxers have grown out of this stage after 1.5 years. However...

Bentley is always in the same room as us. We keep all doors closed on the top floor & have a gate up so that he cant go downstairs. It is wooden and swings open with an easy latch.

Funny story from last week - Bentley is in my bedroom while I was in the shower. I keep the bathroom door open to listen\see if he is staying out of trouble. The lil booger found the toilet paper on the roll and had it strung out in a matter of seconds! I suppose he liked that it just kept following behind him...

He keeps me energetic! The crate is good for their health. Keeps the from eatting things that will make them sick or cause impaction. Good luck!
